ENVY AiO is hp's flagship all-in-one PC featuring best-in-class computing performance, audio, and display technology.  To highlight these features, we chose to locate computing hardware in a base which doubles as an audio sound bar, and elevate the wrap-around display with a single metal column to create the illusion of a floating picture

audiovisual immersion

With a 34" IPS panel, ENVY has the largest display on an AiO. A front-facing soundbar tuned by Bang and Olufsen provides an immersive sound stage with wide stereo separation, and a capacitive circular groove is integrated into the base to allow for intuitive swipe gestures controlling media playback.

Connectivity + Privacy

A high-definition webcam with an array of beamforming mics provides crystal clear video chat experiences when you want to be social, but disappears out-of-sight behind the display for privacy and a clean appearance when not in use.

A cleaner Workspace

All input/output ports are located at the rear of the base to keep desk space organized without unsightly cables draping from behind the display

Two Sizes

A 34" curved version for maximum immersion, and a 27" 4K version for a refined experience in smaller spaces

My CONTRIBUTIONS

  • Lead Designer: managed design efforts through development and production, direct engagement with manufacturers including site visits and daily detailed troubleshooting, design interface to cross-functional teams
  • CAD: detailed design and CAD production for manufacturing including every externally-exposed surface
  • Optimized mounting method and placement of audio drivers to minimize enclosure height while still achieving ergonomically-desirable acoustics
  • Mechanical troubleshooting to solve racking issues with the sliding webcam and rigid attachment of stand arm
  • Developed surface processing method for dual-finish plated arm
